So stoked to end my search for the perfect pow split. I've tried the Lib Tech Orca split. Hated it. Bindings couldn't be mounted far enough back. Mounts are two inches forward from the Solid Orca which is a pretty fun board. Lib said it's because it's the split version. I think it's their poor QC but who knows. I have the Jones Mind expander which is super surfy and I love it but wanted something that could handle chop or sketchy exits when touring if needed. I didn't feel the Mind Expander had that quality. Enter the Powgoda. A little less surfy than the Mind Expander but will definitely hold an edge and is more stable at speed through chunder. I got the carbon version because hopefully I am riding deep pow and the potential loss of dampening from the standard version will be made up for in the pleasure of lightweight skinning. Also the quality and attention to detail is amazing on this split. I have a Jones Solution and a Jones Hovercraft split and this board is much nicer quality. Nice job Cardiff!
This is my first year splitboarding (originally a skier). This board is so light on the uphill but charges on the down. I am obsessed with this board! Nimble, playful, surfy, everything I could have asked for!
