I bought a Bonsai while on a recent trip to the cottonwoods. I had purchased a demo Powgoda and was loving it, but the additional stiffness and sexy AF colors of the Bonsai was calling to me like “pleeeeease take me home you will not regret potentially pissing off your wife who is very understanding but might be a bit peeved about you buying 2 boards while on a 9 day guys trip.”
Fast forward four days of riding … every other board in my quiver has been shelved indefinitely. It’s stiff where you want it to be but also super playful. It has 2 distinct personalities. put your weight toward the nose and it rips super fast and precise turns through bumps, trees, whatever. But throw some weight toward the tail and you can surf this thing like your favorite fish. Five stars. Get one.
