Flowline Mountain X Cardiff

We are absolutely psyched to announce that CARDIFF Snowcraft is a founding partner of Flowline Mountain, a brand new cat-skiing operation in British Colombia, Canada!

FLOWLINE MOUNTAIN LAUNCHES A RIDER-OWNED CAT-SKIING EXPERIENCE IN BRITISH COLUMBIA’S SOUTHERN MONASHEES

Founded by professional snowboarder Bjorn Leines and a collective of lifelong skiers and snowboarders, Flowline Mountain brings together a focused guest group, one dedicated crew and 16,000 acres in pursuit of mountain flow.

SOUTHERN MONASHEES, British Columbia — Flowline Mountain, a new rider-owned cat-skiing operation in British Columbia’s Southern Monashees, is preparing to welcome guests for a larger-than-life backcountry experience built around incredible terrain, lifelong learning, genuine connection and the pursuit of flow.
Founded by professional snowboarder and outdoor-industry entrepreneur Bjorn Leines, alongside a group of like-minded skiers and snowboarders, Flowline Mountain is founded on the belief that progression is not exclusive to elite athletes. Flowline is a place where accomplished riders can be challenged, developing riders can gain confidence and everyone can deepen their relationship with the mountain. The result is an intentionally personal experience centered around a thoughtfully limited guest count, one dedicated crew, a private lodge at 6,300 feet and access to 16,000 acres of terrain.
“Flowline was created by lifers in the snow world—people who have spent decades riding, guiding, learning and building their lives around the mountains,” said Leines, Flowline Mountain co-founder and chairman. “We wanted to create something that goes beyond chasing vertical or collecting runs. This is about finding alignment within yourself, with the mountain and with the people beside you. When those elements come together, you enter a flow state. That is where the best riding and the most meaningful experiences happen.”

16,000 ACRES IN THE SOUTHERN MONASHEES

Flowline’s remote, high-mountain setting, between Kelowna and Nelson in the Christian Valley, occupies a far less explored part of the Southern Monashees, away from the pressure of established winter recreation corridors. The range remains lightly traveled, the terrain feels expansive and every day carries a genuine sense of discovery.
The tenure encompasses 16,000 acres of backcountry terrain including expansive alpine faces, powder fields, widely spaced old-growth glades, steep fall lines and committing couloirs. With terrain reaching approximately 2,411 meters, or 7,910 feet, the operation offers a wide variety of options for strong intermediate, advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders.

One of Flowline’s defining moments is the epic Home Run from Lodge Peak. The descent flows through pillow fields that finish beside a high-mountain lake, where a fire pit, appetizers and shared stories await.
Much of Flowline’s terrain remains largely untapped, and many runs and lines have not yet been named. Early guests will have the rare opportunity to explore those lines with the crew—and may help give a run a name that becomes part of Flowline’s maps, stories and culture.

ONE LODGE. ONE CREW.

Flowline is intentionally designed around a limited number of guests per session, creating a lighter footprint on the snow and a more personal, connected mountain experience.
Flowline’s staff includes multi-decade, highly experienced guides and respected leaders in the backcountry field. They bring deep knowledge of snow science, avalanche awareness, terrain management, group dynamics and mountain travel. Just as importantly, they approach every day with the understanding that no one ever finishes learning from the mountains.
The same dedicated team works with guests throughout their stay—from the guides and snowcat crew to the people preparing meals and managing the lodge. This consistency allows the team to understand each rider’s goals, pace and ability while building trust on and off the mountain.
The result is more than a collection of guests sharing a snowcat. It is a crew.

ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL RIDERS & GEAR

Select Flowline sessions will give guests the opportunity to ride alongside Bjorn Leines, drawing upon his more than three decades at the highest levels of professional snowboarding.
Flowline will also announce sessions hosted by additional professional skiers and snowboarders. These athlete-led experiences will give guests the opportunity to ride with some of the most respected people in snow sports while learning from their technique, mountain awareness and years of experience.
“Flowline is about access to experience and knowledge without ego,” Leines said. “The professionals who join us are there to ride with the crew, share what they have learned and help create an unforgettable session. Everyone brings something valuable to the mountain.”
Founding partner Cardiff Snowcraft will provide a fleet of premium snowboards and skis for guests to experience throughout their sessions. Riders can explore different shapes as terrain and snow conditions evolve, making equipment discovery part of the experience.

JOIN THE FLOW

Flowline offers three-day and four-day sessions, along with private lodge and full-cat buyouts. Select sessions will offer opportunities to ride with Bjorn Leines, with additional professional skier and snowboarder hosts to be announced.
