Our stripped-down freeride board, the BONSAI is meticulously crafted and refined with the essential elements required to ride big lines in any conditions. From on-piste carves to deep backcountry powder slashes, the Bonsai is an instrument of expression, and a favorite of hard-charging riders everywhere.
Our purest expression of freeride performance, the Bonsai was designed around the desire for a simple and streamlined board that could handle it all—it has raced in boarder cross events, carves spring corn, and offers incredible performance in deep conditions. The Bonsai features our FLOATilla construction, which combines a big, wide nose with the gradual rocker of our patent-pending HALFcamber60 (camber underfoot on 60% of the deck). The result is a shorter board with increased float. The Bonsai's BOARDERpatrol technology uses poplar stringer which fuses with the UNIwall seamless urethane sidewall to reinforce the edge and provide an incredibly damp ride. Original artwork by Sam Bawden features the gnarled and resilient bristlecone pines found along the high ridgelines of our home Wasatch Range - trees that experience and endure an incredible range of winter conditions.
Big float, small board: by placing more surface area under foot and a gradual nose rocker the patent-pending HALFcamber allows us to create shorter boards with more float.
UNIwall + BOARDERpatrol
Seamless urethane sidewalls fuse to our cores to create the most durable and damp ride available - featured on the Enduro Series decks. All of our boards have poplar stringer backed sidewalls. This reinforces the edge while protecting the lightweight cores.
All Cardiff solids are backcountry inspired but resort tuned - meaning all our solids have been shaped and adapted to ride on groomed snow.
